During your appointment, your photograph and fingerprints will be taken. Note that if you've received a biometric visa from the Chinese consulate in the last 59 months, you might not need to provide biometrics again.

You can choose to have your passport mailed back or collect it in person from the application centre.

Effective November 20, 2023, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Mumbai has suspended China visa online appointment bookings for Chinese Visa submissions at the Visa Application Service Centre. Instead, applicants are encouraged to visit the centre in person to submit their applications. Additionally, it's essential to complete the Visa Application Form online before your visit.

Step 4: Track Your Application

Monitor the status of your application online using the China visa status check tracking tool. Enter your Pickup form number along with your contact number or passport number and application number to check the progress of your application.


Step 5: Receive Your Visa

Retrieve your passport and documents from the Visa Application Centre, or opt for courier delivery for added convenience.

This form includes details such as a return address, valid bank account information, and contact details. Providing accurate information enables our visa centre to select a trustworthy postal company for the safe delivery of your passport to your designated address.

Visa Application Form

A completed visa application form with a valid signature.

Original Passport

Original passport valid for at least 6 months, with 2 or more blank visa pages.

Photograph

  • Two recent photographs
  • Dimensions: 35mm x 45mm
  • Matte finish,

  • Ears should be visible.

COVID Vaccine Certificate

Provide a vaccination certificate linked with the passport.

Bank Statement

  • Include the original last six-month bank statement with a stamp and signature on each page
  • Minimum recommended bank balance of ₹ 2,00,000

Cover Letter

Should include details such as the purpose of the visit, travel dates, full name as per passport, work profile, stay details in China, travel logistics, expenses responsibility, home address, and contact number.

Travel Itinerary

Provide day-to-day details of the visit, including arrival and departure dates, places to be visited, and accommodation arrangements.

Proof of Accommodation

Hotel confirmation from China on hotel letterhead with a seal and signature.

Flight Reservation

Confirmation of round-trip flight booking.

Old Chinese Visa

Copy of previous visas, if any.

Supporting Documents

If Employed

Employer's NOC letter confirming approved leave on company letterhead with an authorised signature.

If Self-Employed

Business registration proof - Company GST.

If Student

Certification letter from the school (including the company or school name, address, contact person's name, contact telephone number, etc.)

China Visa Appointment Fees and Payment Methods

China visa fees consist of a visa fee of INR 2900 plus a service charge of INR 1861, payable to the Visa Centre. Visa fees are collected on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, while application service fees are non-refundable charges levied by the Centre.


Applicants are required to pay the total amount of fees in cash, combining both the visa fees and application service fees. Accepted payment methods at the Visa Centre include cash and Demand Draft.


For applicants opting for Express Service with a 3rd working day collection, applications must be submitted before 11 AM. Visas can then be picked up after 3 PM on the 3rd working day afternoon.


It's important to note that the schedule of fees may be adjusted quarterly to align with the exchange rate of USD and INR.
